I’m New

Welcome to Saco Bay Community Church!  We are excited that you are checking us out!
Here’s what you can expect during a typical Sunday service:

Scripture Reading & Liturgy

We consistently read scripture out loud together throughout the service and
include a historic creed or a biblical prayer, such as the Lord’s Prayer.

Music

We sing a mix of modern and historic songs and hymns. We strive to
sing songs that are biblically faithful, filled with praise to God, and
promote congregational singing.

Prayer

We have our elders lead us in a time of prayer each Sunday and we
strive to have an atmosphere of prayer throughout the service.

Preaching

We typically go through books of the Bible, studying a specific passage
each week. Our aim is to exalt Jesus in every sermon and apply the truth
of the passage to our lives.

Giving

Our offerings are an important part of our worship. We have an offering plate at the
back of the church by the entrance to the sanctuary. You can also give here. If you
are a visitor to SBCC, please do not feel any obligation to give, we are simply
glad you are with us.

Family Worship

We offer childcare for ages newborn – age 3- and 4–7-year-olds have the option of
attending Children’s Church during the sermon. However, we welcome any
child to worship with us the entire service. We do not mind a little noise.

Kids

We have a nursery for newborns – age 3. The check-in area is located downstairs
near the childcare rooms with volunteers present to help you.  We also have a
Mothers’ Room downstairs.

Four to seven year olds will worship with us during the first part of our service
and then will be dismissed for Children’s Church just before the sermon. Our
teachers are all experienced and love to spend time teaching the kids the
truths of God’s Word.

Dress

Most of us dress casually and we want you to be comfortable too!
